Grass is bad sometimes

I love grass. It makes a property more user friendly. Kids can play on it and parents can relax on it. Sometimes there are spots on properties that have grass that has no chance of thriving. Shady areas are prime examples. The grass will be ok in the spring but will thin out as it gets hotter. Lack of sunlight and also the trees hogging the rain will destroy most grass types. So why fight a losing battle? Just increase the mulch beds into areas that are too shady for grass. Also there are tiny strips of grass that should be covered with mulch. Most of the time these patches of grass are between flower beds with mulch where a thin strip of grass is left for no reason. Just connect the beds.
